Well I made it to the range to get a good load for my .54 flint GPR, it turned out preaty good I found a load. 75 grn Goex 2f clover leafed at 50 yards with .15 oxyoke lubed with Bumblin Bear grease. The gun shot low about 6 inches with the adjustable sights all the way up. Ithink I will change the sight out for the fixed sight but for the first time at the range I wanted the ajustability. My last 2 shots I shot off hand and fliched them into the 2 inch bull, it was a good way to leave the range. I noticed that the the barel bout 6 inches from the muzzel seems to be tighter. I found this out when cleaning the patch was hard to get down at first then it went easy same as on the way out the bottom part of the barel was easy but the last 6 inches or so was realy dificult, is this standard for the Lyman products or just the GPR or just my barrel? Thanks for any feed back  Fisher King

I have noticed the same tightness at the bore with my GPR, Trade and Deer stalker rifles. So I would say that they run that way.
I shoot very tight rb and patch combinations and at one time I thought it was fouling.
I started swapping between shots and it didn't make any difference.
I think they are tight at the bore, but all my shots are very consistent and accurate once you have the load down.

Fisher,
I changed to the fixed primitive rear sight. It fit too loose in the dove tail. I peened the bottom of the sight with a punch and hammer. It now fits nice and tight. It looks better than the adjustable sight also. I have two GPRs. Both .54s, one percussion and one flint. I never had a tight spot in either barrels. As long as you are getting groups like that, keep on shooting  .
