I been needing a pan brush and I was wondering has anybody made one? I've about people making ones out of horses hair and just been wondering how to thanks

I've made some, it's not a big job. I went to the local paint store and bought a cheap paint brush made in China of hog bristles. One brush will make several of them. The bristles are stiffer than horsehair, and I find them just about right, plus they are pretty durable. I just cut off a hunk of them, stuck a piece of thin wire bent into a loop into one end and glued that end together. A thin piece of rawhide was soaked to make it limber, cut to fit and sewn around it as a sheath, and you are finished. They work great, are small and light, and mine have lasted for years with fairly hard use. I usually make some version of this, depending on what I have to work with, and I just play it by ear and modify as I go along.

I made one using the beard off a jake gluded into piece of antler shaped to about 1-2ins. long. Not to big to have tied to your hunting bag or gun. Dan.

You can make simple ones with a loop of horse hair.....

You can make some slightly fancier ones with turned brass handles......

Or really fancy ones with hog bristles and turned ebony, horn, or antler handles....
