Flint Question

The lock I'm getting says it takes 7/8 x 3/4 flints. TOW sells 3/4 x 7/8 flints. Are these the same. My first flintlock, sorry if this is a stupid question.

Actually there is some merit to your question. A flint that was 3/4 long & 7/8 wide would be different than one that was 7/8 long & 3/4 wide.

The first number of a flint's order size is normally based on the width of the frizzen...

This may be something you've done already, but you could give TOW a call and they'd be able to tell you the right flint for your lock.

Or, you could simply measure the width of the frizzen. It will be one of the two numbers, which will tell you which to order; it will be the first number.
