Try ordering some flints from our own Rich Pierce. He is from the St.Louis area, and knapps them from Cherts. They spark well, and last long. And, the price is right. These are American Made, from American rocks. :hatsoff:

Definitely, I will order some flints from Rich Pierce. I need to work out a little better what size flints I need for a Lyman Great Plains rifle, and the I will email Rich Pierce to ask about buying some flints.

Well, since he's a Lancaster Boy in Amish Country, I would suggest that Somebody throw him down the Stairs some Englische Flints, that he more better Sparks more quicker can!

Thanks for that nicely done Amish appeal to get me some English flints, and I did break down and order some recently from TOTW, which darn near broke my heart. In real life I am trying my darndest to honor the original boycott of English goods. Were we permitted to discuss politics on this forum, I'd add that I will continue that boycott until the Queen apologizes for the 3,000 Americans tortured and killed by her forebears' military forces at the Walnut Street prison in Philadelphia and aboard the British prison ships. I hold no grudge against the English people, but I do hold the British monarchy responsible for that war crime. I drink Irish beer and Scotch whisky, and I eat New Zealand lamb, but I try not to buy English goods.

By Gum that was like a True Continental said!

In which case I will second the motion that you contact Rich Pierce; I found his good ole Missouri Flints to work exceptionally well in my Harpers Ferry Rifle...

Eric
