I'm looking for double barrel "Coach Gun" style shotgun but flintlock. It's for a "pirate" style get-up I'm working on.

Also if anyone knows another company besides Middlesex Village Trading Company that sells a double barrel flintlock pistol I'd be much obliged.

Middlesex also sells a double flintlock shotgun/fowler

Yeah, I really like theirs, but I'd prefer a 20" barrel. I'm sure I could cut it down, but that seem like a risky home project and a potentially expensive gunsmithing job.

There was recently one, cut down to a "coach gun" on Gunbroker. It might still be listed. :hmm:

Interesting, I'll take a look. So other than the "ship's carbine" from MVTC can anyone recommend a good carbine or musketoon replica?

Actually, it was MVTC's weapon - good price, too. Contact him directly at his website.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. So what's all involved with importing through them? Is there any paperwork or does the US gov't not even care? Also, I know their stuff ships without the flash hole drilled. Anyone have experience with this and how difficult finishing this up is? I work in metal fabrication, but I want to make sure the metal isn't hardened or anything weird like that.

They're in the Free State of New Hampshire, don't know what you'd need to do to get it into the People's Republik of Kalifornia. http://www.middlesexvillagetrading.com/contact.htm

Seriously, shoot 'em an email.
Haha, I don't know where I got the idea they were out of the UK. That's no problem then, CA still doesn't regulate MLs. Thanks for all the input, I really appreciate it.

I really like double barrel Flintlocks but there has to be a better option than that chrome plated thingy and low quality of Middlesex...

I had put out a few feelers and got "no" responses from those that responded. Anybody know somebody that's worth talking too?

There is but you'll have to cough up about 3 grand :idunno:

The Rifle Shoppe has a Joe Manton Double Barrel Flintlock parts that run about $800 to $900-ish.
Beuatiful double.
