I'm in the market for another Longrifle, although I also am partial to a fowler. I'll also consider military muskets like a Charleville or Brown Bess, although I am most interested in a rifle.

In a rifle, .54 would be my ideal caliber, but I'll consider a .50 or even a larger bore. A Bucks County style is ideal, but I also like York and Lancaster styles, or early Virginia styles. I'll consider others.

In a fowler, I'd probably prefer .20 Gauge or Larger, but let me know what you have. I'm partial to French Fusil or European designs, especially in walnut stocks. I like the design of the Chambers Colonial Fowler, so something similar to that would be appealing.

I'm looking to spend no more than $1300 including shipping to Montana. I'm not expecting fancy carving, engraving, patchboxes, etc. at this price.

Something like a used Tip Curtis gun or TVM would suit my needs fine.
I'm aware of options like the Chambers and Kibler kits, and haven't ruled them out, but I figured I'd ask and see what people here have laying around.

Thanks!

I have a North Star Carolina Fowler in .60 cal. I would like to sell for $575. Good shape. Also have a Pedersoli .54 ca. Blue ridge rifle in flintlock I would like to get $450. for if your interested.

I have a Fusil De Chase in fancy tiger maple stock that is a 62 cal flintlock that meets your criteria and price range. If you want to see pictures just let me know where to send them. I also have a Lyman Great plains Rifle in 54 cal that is like new.

pm sent. Interested in the fowler if the original poster doesn't want it.

While I'm dying to see his fowler, I haven't heard back from Oldhickory. If someone else manages to get hold of him first, I won't feel bad if you buy the gun, so don't worry overmuch about stepping on my toes.

I've received and am considering some good offers, especially for smoothbores. I'd really like to see some more options in terms of rifles, especially classic Virginia, Lancaster, York, or Bucks County styles. I could stretch my budget for just the right rifle.

Last Call - I have one that I'm almost ready to buy, but it's in-the-white and I probably won't have it ready to hunt with this season. If anyone has a good alternative in .50 or larger (preferably .54), please let me know. I will increase my budget to $1600, although obviously I'd prefer to pay a little less than that.

Looking primarily for just rifles at this point.
