I had to write what is was on the block of wood because it the hole wasn't facing up I would often abscentmindly throw these away when I was cleaning off my cluttered work bench.

Over the years I've made quite a few wood fixtures for working ML and modern guns. I had the same problem. So I wrote on them what they were used for AND put them right back in the tool boxes when I was done with them, so I wouldn't do the same thing. LOL!
