I am an unfortunate that shoots left handed. I am looking for a left handed flintlock that is reasonably priced as it will be my first one. I have found only that Lyman makes lefty's, is there any other choice or is Lyman a reasonable starting point?

I had my Peter Berry built left handed, it cost $1100.in the white. The money I don't spend on cigarettes.Lot of money but I am not sorry a custom built rifle is a dream come true for me.I have the lyman GPR in left and I like that also. :winking: Rocky

whats reasonable?

This is really the big question. If the price of a Lyman is what you consider reasonable, then it is a pretty good choice.

Cabelas also has left hand rifels. I bought a Cabelas Hawken for my son and he is quite happy with it .

I shoot both a Lyman GPR and a Lyman Deerstalker in lefthanded flint (.50), I bought them from MIdSouth Shooter's supply and think I got my money's worth. I'm not sure Cabela's offers a lefthanded flint..I know they do a percussion gun.

Thompson / Center makes a left handed Renegade.
TC's Fox Ridge shop will have details, availability, etc...1-800-243-4570

What's unfortunate about having the right side of your brain dominant? We're the only ones in our "right minds".

Is it a flintlock? I just checked the Cabelas web site and the only left hand sidelock rifles they sell are percussion, which seems a bit strange, since Investarms makes left handed models.

I  just checked the Cabelas master catalog, and i'm sorry to say that they offer their flint Hawkens in right hand only. My appologies for not checking that before I posted.
