If I lived anywhere near Dixon's, at Kempton, Penn., that would be my first choice. It's not too far from Cabelas,(maybe 10-12 miles).

Anybody, that hasn't been to Dixon's is missing out on the neatest muzzle loading shop in the country.

I just had a pretty good dealing with Muzzleloader Builder's Supply. They didn't have the trigger set that I wanted but within an hour of having placed on online order, I got a call from the owner to advise me and help me with a second choice. He was very knowledgeable, courteous and quick.

I vote for Muzzleloader Builder Supply. Good on-line or phone ordering, shipping costs are reasonable -helpful, friendly and family business.

Track of the Wolf for sure. Few months ago I ordered a ramrod and they shipped it in usual fashion attached to a flat piece of lumber. Unfortunately usps driver tried to fold the package and broke both. I called Dave to notify him about this situation and he said there is no point arguing with carrier and he sent me a replacement for free only this time attached to 1x2x50 stick
What a great service.

I was just at the Gun Works yesterday, and have to agree that they are great, know their stuff, and have a huge inventory!

I buy most of my flints and parts from Track of the Wolf. If I do not cast my balls I buy most of them from Midsouth shooters supply. They also have a good selection of bullet molds for those who want to cast. I buy .018 pillow ticking from places like Wal-Mart, Hancock's fabrics. I buy powder from Powder Inc.

Dixon's does not list products on their web site, but they DO ship products for customers who call in orders on the phone. If you essentially know what you want, you can call them and they will let you order by phone and they will ship stuff to you. Great people to deal with.

I was just there today. I've got a Lyman GPR, left hand, .50 Flintlock. Love it. I took a friend to see their shop and we came home with a Lyman Deerstalker .50 Flintlock, and all the new-shooter supplies, for him. If the weather is not rainy or icy tomorrow, we're taking the FL's to the range so I can get him started.
