In damp conditions, I usually keep a separate primer of 4F or 3F. Rosen powder in the pan also helps keep it dry.
I'm in NE Arkansas close to the Mississippi river. When I go to the range in the summer, I take a worn out T-shirt with me. The pan, frizzen, and flint must be wiped between each shot, otherwise, I get a clack. It looks like a soup in the pan and I really have to work to get it all out.I don't think the air here in Swarkansas is ever below 85% humidity. On most days even after just one or two shots it will be wet at the vent.
On those days I wipe well and dry the frizzen, flint, vent, and pan after every shot.
After those are clean and dry, I place the pick in the vent, load, remove pick, prime, etc.
On a humid day when hunting I will also dump and reprime regularly, as mentioned, about every 15 min.
I also believe a cow's knee is a must on any type of a rainy, or immediately post rain hunt. One fat drop of water in the wrong place can throw a wrench in things.

*clear vent*
