I'm threatening to get a rifle barrel to shoot .323 diameter round ball, the same as for my old 6" barrel revolver. Been looking around at the various commercially produced pieces for one to put a barrel on and haven't found anything that would work better than a Traditions Deerhunter. Already have a great sparking Deerhunter with a fifty smoothbore octagonal to round barrel that could have a .33 barrel fitted to it.

Anybody have suggestions on another flinter that might work well?

Revolver has "XXVI", 1970 date code. And it is very well built other than a small amount of impurities I spotted in the brass of the trigger guard.

I would look at a stock for a traditions crocket or cva squirrel. a small caliber gun fits best with a slim stock otherwise it can be quite heavy.
