Ah, big blues! I have caught a few blues around here. Channel cats are most common here.

That one went right at 70lbs. Channel are rare in rivers up here, the water is really saline.

I did a bit of math, 300 hours to build at $50 an hour $15,000 plus materials

I could make one phone call and buy it in a couple days. Tempting. Not going to do it though. I've seen wooded land at that price... also I might need a new to me Nissan XTera, a barrel rebore and a road trip vacation.

Would also be afraid to take something so valuable to the woods!

Nice video, but how did he 'bang rocks' to fire up his forge??

Well, he could have done that, but I always used a match. I think the OP was referring to the flintlock... which is sort of a "rock banger". Then again, in these days of deviants....
