Went out shooting the Uberti 1858 I got for my birthday today. First time shooting in lot's of years. Forgot how fun it was. The smoke, the smell, the slow recoil....the boooooom....and even the cleanup :v

edit: the first time black powder shooting that is :)
 
Yeah, years ago I had a kentucky, a zouave .58, a Colt conversion I converted myself, and an 1858. They all were lost when our home burnt down. I got a target BP pistol after that and it was stolen. After that I kind of just gave up. So it's been 20 years since I've BP'd.
I sure loved that ol' zouave and 1858. I think my wife sees the old BP flame igniting again but so far she's not complaining.
When I lost my BP stuff the internet was in it's infancy...now we have this GREAT forum. It sure makes BP shooting a bunch more better.
