Fortunately, no impact is foreseen on this year's 250th F&I War event - the taking of the fort by the English/Colonial forces.

Ft. Ti's 250th was last year. This year the 250th event is at Niagara.

Perhaps Fort Ti got its anniversary dates wrong? From this year's event web page:

French & Indian War Grand Encampment,
26-28 June 2009

"This year marks the 250th anniversary of the British victory over the French at Fort Ticonderoga (known to the French as Fort Carillon). While this year’s event will not be as large as the 250th Battle of Carillon was in 2008, the Fort hopes to make the anniversary of the 1759 victory just as exciting for re-enactors and the public."

My apologies as the misunderstanding was mine. 2008 was NYS F&I Commemoration Event at Ft. Ticonderoga. Yes, 2009 is the 250th celebration of the British taking of the fort, but the NYS F&I event for 2009 is Niagara.
