Does your spouse or significant others complain that you are on the $%*^#@#$ forum again, or too long! :curse:

Or is it just me?

This being my 1300th. post, I got to thinking, am I forgetting to spend time with Mrs. Musketman? ::

Nah, it's just me...

Any of you other members getting some flak?

Maybe I should e-mail her a card or something... :winking:

Well my sweet asks about the weather and temperature frequently therefore I must spend alot of time exploring local weather conditions from many sources so she knows how many layers of cloths to wear. Many times it takes hours to get to proper information so she will experience minimal discomfort. Muzzleloading Forum is an excellent source of weather information. I explain to her that the weather information on this forum is in a very difficult code and not easily deciphered and it takes bunches of time to figure out. The weather is in code to prevent subversives' access to critical information. She's not blond.....

naw...I don't git no flak from being on hyar too much....o'course she aint got over her shyness too much yet. We's only been married 41+years, so's we still kinda go easy bout steppin on one anothers toes. Don't know yet iffn it's gonna wurk out...but we keeps tryin.

Speaking uv weather Tucoblue, Hyar in Kentucky we is gonna have more weather this year than tha last 2 or 3. Can U figger out why?

Yes, she does! And, her complaints are completely unreasonable!
I wake up early every day, usually well before anyone else. I get my breakfast, then carry a cup of coffee into the "office" and sit down in front of this machine. I'm on the computer for about an hour and a half most mornings. By 9AM I'm done, and off to do whatever the day calls for. (I'm retired, and do what I like)
My wife then takes over. She is then on this computer for almost the entire day, sometimes well into the evening! And, I mean that, literally! She is here all day long!
Granted, most of the time she is working on the computer, but plenty of times I see her taking a break and playing a stupid computer card game of solitare.
However, I myself, think I spend far too much time here. I need to get away from this infernal machine and get out among the mountains!

This being my 1300th. post,

If nothing else, you are probably developing carpal tunnel syndrome. Have you noticed your trigger finger not being up to snuff lately?

Yum yum. Take a carp any ole day over a trout!

I once read a recipe for carp that went something like this...

Fillet the carp
Tack it to a cedar shingle
Stand it next the a fire until cooked
Remove carp from shingle and discard
Eat the shingle! :haha:

Believe it or don't, my wife really doesn't mind much.
Before I started doing this Forum stuff I could (and would) be anywhere. Now she just sticks her head into the room and says things like "I knew you would be here!" or "Get off that damn computer! We have to be at my sisters house in 30 minutes!!". In fact, she is so confident she will often have the "Get off that..." out before her head ever comes into the room.

You probably don't have many carp in San Diego unless Sea World has a tank full of em.

We have several lakes that have an abundance of carp and I visit the Colorado River quite often where they are plentiful. I've never caught one, but I'd like to. I hear they fight pretty good?

Try hunting for carp instead of fishing for them sometime! Shooting carp and gar with a bow keeps a lot od folks in tune for the deer season.

Can we shoot carp with patched round balls, that will also tune us for deer season... :: :haha:

Oh yeah they fight! Don't use any light gear. A catfishing setup works great. I used to be stationed at Camp Pendelton. We used to deploy to Yuma. Had a ball fishing in the Colorado River. Best baits for carp are plain old canned corn on a bottom rig. We also used to catch them on a Wheatie Ball. Take Wheaties cereal and put some in your hand. Put it in the water and let is soak for a few seconds. Then make a ball around a treble hook and squeeze it tight. Let it dry for a about a minute and it will glue itself to the treble hook. Carp can't resist them. Clear water carp are the best eating.

We usually go above Imperial Dam, north of Yuma. The water in the shallow bays is crystal clear and you can glide your canoe over schools of huge carp. I'm definitely taking my bow the next time we go.

You are making me want to visit my relatives in San Diego. I really miss San Diego and Arizona.

Where in San Diego do they live? We're actually in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, about 25 miles north of San Diego. We also have 40 acres in Arizona, so I get over there about once a month.

They live in Tierra Santa. Just a few miles north of Qualcomm stadium. They had houses burn down in their neighborhood during the recent fires. They got lucky!
