Those danged French and their separate priming pans. The steel ones are always a royal pain to get fitted. Anywhoey, it’s started. Yes the stock is European walnut.

I am excited to see how it comes along. They are handsome pistols.
Oh, I will keep it updated when I get something of significance done. I will try to get the new pan fitted soon, then fit the barrel after I scribe the bottom dead center (for the rammer spoon). I’m also finishing up my Kibler colonial. I always work on more than one at a time.
 
Got the hammer mostly rough polished. Still fighting the pan on this one. It’s being a pain in the rump.
