Just finished this one. 1 1/8"x7" blade of 01 steel, walnut grip, with correct tapered partial tang. The originals used Beech and boxwood for the grip, but I didn't have any.

Wow, very nice! How much do you charge for your knives if you don't mind me asking? Very fine work indeed.

you gotta be kidding....you're complaining because you didn't have beech or boxwood and just had to use that piece of walnut. :shocked2: :shocked2:

You make BEAUTIFUL knives. Your sheath is also striking and unusual. If you're not happy with those, I'll be real happy to hold onto them for you....

Geeeeeze
That's all I need, another knife to add to the growing list of "Stuff I want to buy"

One of these days I will have to talk to you about a blade or finished knife

Very nice work!

Nice work Wick !! here is a picture of a French Boucheron style knife I recently started carrying. It's the longer knife. (The neck knife isn't french) The Boucheron pictured has the greatest, sharpest steel I've ever found on a knife blade. It's an older knife, and I had to slightly modify the blade a bit to get the correct shape. Not bad for only paying one dollar for the knife !! The sheath is braintan over cowhide for strength, and it has an over flap sewn to the sheath so it slips in or out of the belt without taking your belt off. The over flap goes on the outside of your belt or sash and keeps the knife and sheath from slipping thru and getting lost. I'm real happy with how it turned out, and this knife will become my all around use knife for a while. Here is the pic:

Very nice--and I suspect more than a few were rehandled in local woods or bone, stag, etc. Quite a few of the Indian owned knives had handles that were wrapped in quillwork.

Good research , especially for the
sheath , this center seam is the same style as
the sword sheaths of the périod .
