Has anyone done a commercial reproduction of the French Minie rifle of 1849, or of the Enfield 1851?

I'm currently reading Gibbons' The Destroying Angel: The Rifle-Musket as the First Modern infantry Weapon, and have a few questions that might be best-addressed by trying one out.

Thanks!

Reproductions of the US .69 caliber rifled muskets may be about as close as you will get "off the shelf".
The 33" long barrel Springfield is a real treat.

Thanks. I've got access to original 1835 and 1842 rifled muskets for comparative purposes, but was hoping Parker Hale or someone similar had done a repro of the 1851 Enfield.

Yeah, I would have liked to have picked up a 51.
Shucks, I'd like to try hollow bases in a rifled Bess!

The Rifle Shoppe lists the Enfield Pattern 1851 in their catalogue.

From past experience, I suspect I'll not live long enough to get a set of parts from the Rifle Shoppe. I have managed to find one in a collection; no shooting tests but I should be able to answer most of my questions.
