Very interesting powder flask @Mle1822.
There is a foto of this or a very similar flask in the book "Poires à poudre, Robert Marquiset and Jean-Pierre Yven" at page 97 (no 282)

The decoration symbolizes the sun and the flask in the book is made for use with pistols.
The top of the flask in the museum is different form that shown in the book. It has a top with a cap that can be used as a powder measure. I have often seen this type of top on continental powder flasks.
