Most any builder should be able to make one if you request the correct parts, 44" barrel .62 -.58 bore, Colerain makes one a bit bigger than 1" at the breech wich is probably the minimum for French guns, but the .58 is a bit heavy as it is the same profile as the .62 but will still make a gun that comes in at 8 lbs. or less. Walnut stock, Davis modified Tulle lock or L&R trade gun lock, furniture as shown in Hamiltons "Colonial Fontier Guns" and Bouchards book on The Tulle in New France, ( Bouchards pg 33 is likley the best choice for matching parts for a circa 1730 gun) iron furniture is the most likley choice for the cowsfoot style. the parts set as sold by TOW is as good any, but a builder can probably get parts else where if the builder wants to go a different direction I would suggest studying the books above then find another builder, this pertains only to the Fusil De Chase pied De vauche style stock, for a straight stock Fusil the Davis parts set with the 48" barrel wins hands down.If something other than the above is recommended request the reference sources that trump the above mentioned books and their gun pics/parts/descriptions. Following the above will result in about as correct of a Fusil from the town of Tulle you can have from stock parts,Bouchard shows drawings and gives the factory specs for the guns in different time periods plus a great deal of Tulle gun evolution history, this source is hard to beat at least IMHO.
