Carmel Indiana. Has a huge gravel company, been there long before any development of homes. Blasted , dug transported gravel for many years then income development. Now the gravel company has many, many restrictions even dust conc

Yeah. I wonder how much longer I'll be able to shoot on my own property. City has annexed to across the marsh from me.

Check your state laws on shooting ranges. It is nearly impossible to shut down a private range here in Montana. I registered mine with the state on advise of a deputy friend over 35 years ago.

I recall a case where a new housing development wanted a shooting range shut down. The land the range was on was zoned agricultural, so the range users put the word out they would be replacing the range with a close confinement hog farm. That was liked even less than olethe shooting,

Illinois is a whole different world than Montana.
I’ll take Montana anytime.

Seriously, if they didn't know of your existence before moving, that's on them or their realtor. Can't move next to a farm and then complain about the rooster.

Someone moved next to a hog feed out operation near here and tried to shut it down because of the smell. That did not work out well for him.
