French Year 13 Pistol

Sorry, no photo yet. I have a French 1805-1816 (1818 by some accounts) Year XIII Pistol. It is exactly the same as other Year 13 pistols, except: It has iron mounts instead of brass? All the others I've seen have brass mounts.
Thought you French arms guys might be able to shed some light on this? Thanks for any help. Rick.
