Front sight dove-tail size

The brass blade front sight on my Traditions Pennsylvania ML was bent at the range recently and snapped off when I tried straightening it. I wanted to replace it with a better sight anyway and now have the chance. After multiple internet searches I still can't find the slot size to get the right one. Is it a 3/8's, .360, .355 or something else? I've emailed Traditions but no response. Any info or experience would help.

Well, according to the Dixie catalog Traditions use a .350 dovetail, but it doesn't specifically list the Penn. rifle, so i can't say for sure. And i see we have an other Oregonean. Welcome.

I believe they are metric and slightly smaller than 3/8.Get a 3/8 and file it down to fit,that way you have all the bases covered.

Take out the old one put a mic on it and you will know for sure what size it is. :thumbsup:
