Hi Guys,

Let's try something new [at least to me] for a change. How about posting some pictures of yourself or your buddy in your full winter hunting outfit right before you go hunting. Grab your best outfit, the nicest gun you own, your bag, and anything else you want to hang around your neck and if you happen to drop a deer, all the better. Include that too. Let's show the world how cool we look out there.

Here in Pa., flintlock season doesn't come in until the day after Christmas, so it's going to be a few week until I post mine.

I don't know, but maybe we could somehow vote for the best looking rig and win the title of the best looking winter hunter. Whata say guys???

Big Ralph

Sounds fun
A lot of my photos have been posted already in the hunt forum but here's a couple that I don't remember posting before.

Well I can see right off you broke your rifle....lost your pistol....lost that feather in your hat too.....how you say Clutz in Arapaho?

Hey FH, whatcha got on the spit. It kinda looks like yer guardin it :rotf: ...Bud

You look fine to me. Don't bother asking those others over to your fire for a bite to eat... You seem to enjoy yourself out there.

I guess we all have to be serious today and no one can make a joke. Some of us really need to lighten up today and I find it real hard and feel sorry for him if he didn't get a chuckle out of my post.

FH-I love the Traditional pictures- it just looks like fun ! Keep them coming. I'm still partial to your kit smoothe!

You see the size of that man? He dont have to guard the spit! Aint NOBODY stupid enough to try to take it from him. :rotf: :rotf:
By the way FH, great outfit :hatsoff:

Funny stuff guys. If you weren't funnin me I'd feel bad
And I do cook good rabbit pilgrim and I ate all of it.
I deal with modern sporting good stuff all day long at work. Getting out with a traditional front stuffer and skins is my therapy.
As for my smooth bore flinter, I've posted several pics of myself with it elsewhere, so I went with these. An old percussion in .51 cal and my .54 flinter.

That's a good one. At 6 ft 8 and around 375 I'm actually a very easy going type of guy that doesn't get upset very easily.

6ft8 HOLY SMOKES!!! Bet your not hard to spot in a crowd.
I guess I will call you Mr.Fossil Hunter from now on. :rotf:
Just funnin :v

This is one I wear in Nov deer season, haversack shooting bag, clout/leggins,waist sash, the only additions would be my Linen outer capped wrap shirt (hunting shirt?) and a silk scarf around the neck.Might go with wool leggins instead of leather, got a recent pic but can't find the camera chip, maybe later. good looking gear Fossilhunter, great pic.

We need to laugh at ourselves and with each other, never seen real much ill will here, I will be the first to laugh at my ...unscheduled happenings

If ya got a gun it's good enough to get a pic to put a name on a face.

Jay, I mean Fossil Hunter, has been a friend of mine for over twenty some years and a good man for sure! He's about as good a hunter with any M/L'r as they git and craftsman. And an honor to call friend! Hell, he can take a joke!...He claims to know me! Just living proof that we grow 'em big in the Nebraska fresh air!

Look'n good Jay!

Rick

That must be some REALLY GOOD air!

Those are really nice outfits TG, NWTF, and Fossilhunter. Do you folks generally make your own clothing and extras?
