Yikes :(

Just got the garden in this last weekend.

I don't know if things will toughen up before next weeks 103-105 high temp. :idunno:

As most of you know I lost Buddy to cancer this spring

Then I got a really fun sinus thing that had me sick for 5 weeks. So it's been tuff to get out and get things in.

We added a few chickens (The wife's thing) and framed in some boxes in the easement.

Goose Berries look great this year, might have enough to can or something, If I will keep from eating them all as they become ripe

Better late than never...... :haha:

I see you got a "little square foot gardening" going on.... I'm a fan of that method, makes it easier to weed.....

Trying to hack mine out of the weeds. Several days of rain have the weeds growing bad!!! Ours went in late this year too, life was just too busy this time around.

Love your raised beds! Good luck with your growing!

We can pick the chicken coop up and move it, which we do every 10 days, there is room to move it about 7-8 times before I have to set it back on the 1st spot, :hmm: so next year I am going to try to plant in the vacant spots. If I think it out right I will have 70 days to get a crop before I need to put the coop back on the spot, and then the chickens can have the remains. Radish, peas things that mature in 45-65 days should work.

Oh! I hear that one.... :haha:
Most of my gardens I have been able to manage the weeds well by planting cover crops when not in use and by heavy composting....I also cover some areas with tin to burn them out.....

But my onion garden is overrun with weeds... :shake: It's like trying to clear the Amazon jungle....

I've been battling the rabbits something fierce...It must be an "up " year for the population...There seems to be no end to them.....

Hey Sean!...Do you have any more pictures of your chicken tractor?....I've been debating getting some chickens but cant decide what type of coop I want to build.....
