weapons for children is an interesting chapter.
weapon for a child - a little boy, was built in a variety of options ( matchlock, wheellock , flintlock etc. ) :hatsoff:

The Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto has a couple of the little toy matchlock - wheelock styled - pistols. Recovered from the Thames. I wonder if some father tossed them in the river.....

http://www.peterfiner.com/assets/Uploads/1755.jpg The wheel-lock rifle depicted dating from the mid 1520’s to the mid 1530’s is the earliest known superimposed-load wheel-lock fire-arm and was in the collection of the Museum Carolino Augusteum, Salzburg. The shield painted on the stock is charged with the Arms of Matthäus Lang von Wellenburg (1468-1540) adviser to the Emperor’s Frederick III and Maximilian I and later Cardinal (1511) and Prince Archbishop of Salzburg (1519).
