Anyone make meat over the weekend t'was primitive weapons opener, I got in the woods late, saw deer every were except were I was, untill, evening just about dusk, the peak time to be extra alert, I had a feeling somey=ting was wrong in me stoache and had to fart, I wernt 3 seconds and there was crashing and stomping and them things were just going crazy
blowing at me and raising a real rucus , needless to say the smell was horrid even I had to leave.oh well this comming weekend is regular rifle but I'm partial to me smoke poles. bb75
 
I thought blackpowder season opens this weekend. 10/15/05 I've been flinging sticks at them since 9/10. Missed one, lost one. I sold the caplock in an effort to force myself into flint hunting this year. We'll see what happens.

Oh manure looks like if the dnr would have found me I'd be having a hellofa explanation time , oooopppps my bad somehow got me days screwed up, but still going mon-tuesday, hopfully me body don't do that again, going to get another stand tommorow so my daughter can get up in the tree with me she's 5 and wants to see deer and eat deer. bb75
 
Laugh ya'll but I fell asleep again and heard a crunch, was startled awake and low and behold there she was 50 yards and just slowly walking, I up's with betsy and fkash and boom, manure clean miss kileed the hell out of a sweat gum sapling. well theres alway tonight. bb75
 
Dont feel bad i missed one at fourty yards today. I have not missed a deer in 20 yrs.
 
Later around 6;30 pm right at the peak time , there I was snozin agin, I hears something comming turns in the tree lounge and see a Buck acomming, darn can't shoot, real small, fork buck, in any other county but hancock he'd be a dead one hancock has antler restriction, they have to be four on one side, well he'll be bigger next year, got till sometime in january to get me meat, will go next week depending on this other stinking tropical storm a comming from the gulf. bb75
 
I did a three day hunt in Oglethorpe county. I didn't see any deer from the stand. We did see alot of them around 9:00 to 10:00 pm. The big old bright full moon we had kept the deer moving at night. I saw my first live armadillo Saturday night on the way back from supper. They are a funny looking critter!
