Incredible!! How do you get the raised effect? Some type of wet mold?

It's an old technique of working the leather from the back by hand, using small tools. No mold used. The raised figures are then filled with hide glue and leather shavings. Its called embossing.

You got a pretty extreme rise in that leather. Not all embossing comes out that proudly.
Nice work, that must have taken a serious amount of time.
