We already had threads like this. Ain’t buying it. So far, there has not been the first proven case that could happen. Until it’s proven, then I’m not concerned.

Don’t shoot sickly looking deer if you plan on eating it.

I find it interesting that there’s people out there that sell test kits for this. Always someone that’s willing to make money off of anything and everything, even if it’s not factual.

Replied in the other thread on this, but it’s an opinion based article with desperate assumptions to connect dots.

Will I feed infected meat to my kids? No. Will I eat it? Absolutely

Just don’t eat any deer that looks sickly.
I'm in the not worried camp myself. I've probably already eaten some.

But on a technical aspect, they appear perfectly healthy up until the prion goes active. It can be a couple years or even more. Once they do go active they only last a couple weeks.

We peasants shouldn't have free food or gardens, just another step toward controlling food supplies by fear mongering.
Friend of mine saw a facebook ad the other day (this was in a group devoted to canning food), saying "Do you know someone who it *too prepared*? Help facebook fight extremism" with a link to click on. Blows my mind that this kind of nonsense is being pushed.

Good grief. This is the first time I've ever heard of it. I have killed animals that look sick just for their own sake, but never heard of a disease like this. Seems like something else that I refuse to worry about. I don't read or listen to the news much. I just do my own thing. go hunting, kill stuff and eat it. Common sense tells me not to eat sick animals. I do worry about family welfare and all the obviously wicked people who don't know Him. That's about it. I didn't get to 76 by fretting over every little thing. Which reminds me,decades ago as a teen, I dearly loved to go hunting. My dad taught me. We went rabbit hunting often. Never missed a new snow to track them. While cleaning rabbits, he told me how to always look at the liver. If it was spotted, don't eat him. Those white spots meant he was sick. Never did know what illness it had, and I only saw one in my lifetime with such a liver. I hope our beloved wildwood stays clean for everyone's kids to enjoy for many years to come, or until He comes. Wait. I got in trouble here once for referring to that. I hope I didn't cross the line this time. I have a super hard time being "lawful" in that regard because nothing else really matters. If you don't hear from me again I will have been banned.

Can't go by looks. Incubation period is several years.

It’s all anti hunting and anti gun propaganda.
Sam, I respectfully disagree. I live in the most conservative, pro-gun, pro-hunting state in the union. Our state wildlife biologists are not overreacting and are following this closely. This ain't woke stuff.
