Call Track of the Wolf, tell them what you have and they will send you the correct nipples.

Like Many Klatch said, either call Track or send them one of your nipples and they will send you the correct replacements. They are good at it.

The guy's are right. Here's the TOW list (4pages),,
but just scroll to the bottom of page one and look at the top of page 2; it's not all that complicated; http://www.trackofthewolf.com/List/Item.aspx/159/1

There are several places they sell nipple set's for the requested revovler make and model. Nipples for revovlers are not typically found on Walmarts shelves, but that doesn't make them hard to get.

Can ya tell I'm new at this? When I asked what size nipples? in my other post, I REALLY meant what size caps does a Uberti 1851 or 1861 Navy use.

Jeesh, I gotta be more awake when I post.

I find that Remington #10 caps give me reliable ignition and don't fall off the TOW stainless steel nipples after being pressed on. You may have luck with other brands.

I messed up my original 2 posts on this subject, confusing nipples with caps (watch it!) so the moderator(s) merged the 2 threads, now it's been cleared off altogether.

My short term memory ain't what it used to be, and I didn't write down the answer to my question, so here we go again. Please forgive the boredom element.

I got my Uberti 1861 Navy. Cap size?

I'm waiting for delivery of a Uberti 1860 Army. Cap size?

Many Thanks - Marc

Dixie Gunworks says both use a #11 cap but don't go hog wild and buy thousands of them.

Each maker's caps are a little different so try some #11's. If they are too loose you can pinch their mouths to make them elliptical and they will work.
Then, buy some #10's and try them.

Sooner or later you will find the size/brand that works best.

I've still got 400 + RWS #11 caps from the thousand I bought awhile back for my percussion shotguns and rifles, so no need for the hog wild act.

Anybody know a good place to buy #10 caps? Any place but Midway

agree with cynthialee
get the rem #10 caps for your six shooter other wise use #11

Yeah I have been rather impressed with the Remington #10's. I am still using up a number of tins of cci #11 a tin of cci #11 magnums and a tin or 2 of the cci #10's.
But once I use all the cci caps up I am going to the remingtons exclusively.
