plus even when they wasnt out of business you couldnt get what you ordered i had a barrel ordered from john for 4 years asked about it each year at CLA in kentucky never did get it now nothing but rice barrels for me or a green mountain swamp if i find one had good luck with them 15 years back

Agree, consensus is they can’t be reached and if you get through, no certainty the barrel will be completed. I ordered a couple barrels 8 or so years ago. No money down thankfully. I like John, just that he’s not been organized in the barrel making business for a long time now. I have a couple Getz barrels on the shelf and pick one up when I can but have gone to Rice, Rayl, Charles Burton, and Bobby Hoyt since Getz became hard to reach it pin down. I used to buy from Getz exclusively because of quality and personal connection.
