I have seen two posts where the writer made mention of a GM barrel as a drop-in replacement for a GPR. Just went browsing GM's web site and found references only to T/C guns. Somebody have a link that will give more info on these things?

You guys that have them - where did you get them? Really just drop right in? Any of you using flintlocks?

Don't have one. Have seen references on Track-of-the-Wolf's site that standard GM drop-ins can easily be modified to fit a GPR, and that they offer those modifications as a service if you don't want to do them yourself.

I've fitted them to GPRs and about all I remember doing is the alteration for the 2 wedges and possibly a little alteration to the underrib, wasn't very much.

They were probably referring to the IBS replacement
barrels for TC.

It's not a drop-in replacement, though. GPRs
have two barrel wedges instead of one, so it
requires some minor lug work. The breechhook
might need some fitting as well.

I see that Track of the Wolf now has exclusive
availability of Green Mtn drop-in replacement
barrels made specifically for the GPR (with
correct InvestArm breechplug and 2 underlugs)
Available in .50 with 28" or 70" twist, or in
.40 with 48" twist. All are blued and 32" long.
The supply is limited by the number of InvestArm
factory plugs they have. Unfortunately, it looks
like they have no flint or lefthand breechplugs,
as the barrels are righthand percussion only.
