the label on GO JO includes water, useing as patch lube, how do you, keep loaded barrels from rusting while hunting, after lubeing do they get air dried????before loading????preasantly useing liquid crisco which works great but sloppy...

the water is in the soluble oil, along with alcohol and mineral oil. it's my favorite patch lube. I also carry a squeeze tube when I'm shooting my BP revolvers for the wipe-down and scrub after I pour hot water over when I'm 'trekking' (rare these days). cleans up rifles too. and you clean any cloth you have it on by washing in the creek.

Cleans-up wedding bands nicely too! Used to leave mine on while changing the oil in the car. Washed hands with go-jo, and everything sparkles!

I must be stupid!!! :hmm: What is soluble oil??? :hmm:

Water soluble oil will mix with water. That's how a lot of folks make moose milk. Equal parts water and oil. Shake well. It makes a milky mix. "Dry lubed" patches are make by soaking them with moose milk and setting out to dry. The oil is left on the patch.

Try Stumpkillers moose milk recipe. The dry lubing technique works awesome with it.
