I just spent a week on a large sheep station (640,000 acres) with the wife and four kids, shooting, driving around the bush tracks and cooking on the campfire.I shot three goats with my .50 c.v.a hawken, the first one was at about 9am the four kids and myself snuck up on a mob of goats drinking at a dam (ground tank) i picked out a white nanny standing on top of the dam bank 30 yards away and squeezed off a shot hitting her in the left shoulder and out through the chest on the other side, she ran about five yards and went down. Then about 20 minutes later i found a mob of about ten feeding in the bushes i walked up to them and from a standing position took a shot at a black nanny hitting her in the front of the shoulder and dropped her where she stood.Later that afternoon i shot a old billy that ran away from a water trough and stopped about 40 yards out he also dropped where he stood. We had a good week.

That sounds like a lot of fun. Can you post any pictures?

I did get two photos of the first two goats and my wife leeanne filmed me shooting the third, but it will be a while before i can show them,i have to get someone to sit down and help me.
