Goex Clear Shot stability??

I was trying to do some shooting today with my 54cal GP rifle. Charge ,100gr with Lee 300gr REAL bullet. Using some Goex Clear Shot I bought years ago. It was extremely difficult to get it to ignite. When it actually did fire it was quite obvious most of it's get up & go was long gone. Very under powered. I don't know, is this powder still in production? Don't believe it is. Switched over to my Triple 7 FF , & all went perfect..

I believe it has been out of production for a long time. If you search the forum you will find a thread about it from several months back.

I had the same experience only with 3f Clear Shot. It did clean up better than BP, but otherwise, very inferior. Haven’t seen it on the market for years

The can is probably worth more (as a vintage collectible) than the stuff inside.

And I was thinking of using it for a target!!
