For all you enthusiasts looking for employee discounts...

Estes Energetics is searching for Production Workers at our Goex black powder manufacturing facility on Camp Minden in Minden, Louisiana. The Production Worker performs manual production tasks, including tending to and running production machines, moving material, preparing packaging material, and packaging finished product.

This job requires working with explosives. You will be required to dress out in work-specific clothes issued to you by the company and shower at the end of each working day. The work environment is partly outdoors. Teamwork is especially important here in all aspects of the job as we strive for safety.

I've always wanted to take a finger and wipe a sweating stick of dynamite. Then flick it!
Can we do that? :)

Heck, working with explosives, warm climate, great food state... if I was a younger man...

The man is looking for employees, do not ruin his search with stupid comments.

Please grow up!

Folks want powder and this how you treat the only PB manufacturer in the U.S.?

Just how old are you?

Working for Goex would probably be safer than my past job of meter reading and putting up with dogs, and sometimes customers!

I would have hated to be a meter reader when they used to go into the houses.

Is the OP looking for workers or did the OP cut and paste requirements from the GOEX website?

OP is in Tennessee.

GOEX is in Louisianna.

Hell of a commute.
I think our nameless friend is just notifying the forum that the wheels and cogs at GOEX are indeed turning and hopefully that means we'll see their product back on shelves in some amount of time. All we can do to piece together what's happening behind the scenes is with breadcrumbs like this, I think this job listing being posted is great news.

When I was in the service, just the stories about the mosquitoes at Fort Polk LA would make my skin itch. I know, just stories, but cajun women's fathers also a little scary....

I look forward to seeing more Goex out there though, so more production is good.
I think Louisiana mosquitos is why the 105 Howitzer was developed!
