If I were Goex, I would want to be marketing and talking to the end user of my product. Where better to do it then at the largest Muzzleloading event out there?
Time to start the Goex boycott! LOLMuch ado about nothing
5 lbs per customer? ahahahah 3 guys will buy the 1800 lbsWhen was the last time ‘current’ production Goex powder was available? 1800 pounds, say 5 pounds per customer, that 360 customers. Don’t see it as a big deal other than getting a new manufacturer’s powder out there to wet the appetite of some pent up customers’ demands. Dribble it out to individual dealers and it’s no big story.
...as usual for a lot of this group.Much adoo about nothing here.
I think the majority, if not all of us were directing comments at what you reported, not you. I for one certainly didn’t take your post as an endorsement one way or the other. Just something to discuss on a rainy workday when I cant go out and shootSome of ya are taking my post the wrong way. I am happy there's going to be more powder available on the market. Hopefully with more competition it will keep prices lower than without it. I am stating what other vendors were saying to customers at the event. THEY (not me) were verbally upset that the powder was being distributed the way it was. One vendor stated "I just seen a customer of mine with 5 pounds and they told me to cancel by backorder as they now have powder. "
This is all I am saying. I will be back to Friendship, support the local dealers, support the NMLRA, etc etc etc. I love the sport and been involved in it throughout the USA over the past 40 years I been doing it. I bring in new shooters young, old, men, woman, kids alike. I do a bunch to promote and expand the heritage and culture. Example: I recently introduced ML'ing to a group of fellow Veterans and families (26 people), they got to shoot flintlocks, and side locks or various makes from full customs to factory guns, throw hawk/knife and all. Now we are organizing a traditional ML hunt for them.
No worries buddy.I think the majority, if not all of us were directing comments at what you reported, not you. I for one certainly didn’t take your post as an endorsement one way or the other. Just something to discuss on a rainy workday when I cant go out and shoot
That has been the norm for me too for many years, but FedEx changed their policy a week or two ago. Yesterday my Wife was home when FedEx delivered my Graf’s order, the driver scanned her DL and thumbprint before handing over the box. So be warned. Both times I had powder shipped to me the driver handed me the package and said “I’ll just sign for you sir”.
Happened also with my 1st powder shipment. Next several, the driver just scanned my Dl, since my print was “on file” (so much for not saving identifying info, huh FedEX?).That has been the norm for me too for many years, but FedEx changed their policy a week or two ago. You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't.I wonder if there would have been a thread asking why goex did not sell at friendship but sent powder to a distributor on hundreds of miles away instead.
And keep it dry!Given the state of global affairs…keep calm and buy powder.
Me not likey their new policy...That has been the norm for me too for many years, but FedEx changed their policy a week or two ago. Yesterday my Wife was home when FedEx delivered my Graf’s order, the driver scanned her DL and thumbprint before handing over the box. So be warned.
VOLUME! VOLUME! VOLUME!So how come Schutzen, made in Europe and shipped over here (Imagine those hazmatt fee's), can sell for near 20% LESS than Goex?
