About 3 or 4 years ago I bought twenty five 1 pound cans of Goex for $8 a pound at Friendship. About 6 months later I was there again and had to pay a whopping $12 a can. I bought 25 more cans and now I have a closet full of enough precious black powder to last me as long as I will be shooting muzzleloaders at an average price of only $10 a pound.

I am hopeing to get some at Rondy also. Someone is going up to check to see if the snow is gone enough to still have it. It will be the first event for my wife and me. She is making a period dress and all I have right now is a shirt. But it is a start. Nice to know that Goex will be available, not going to show up with Pyrodex.

Similar to the lead shot thread I checked todays powder prices here in Germany.

I think the number will give you a good chuckle and soothe your "powder buying pains" a little.
't was pretty sure we are :youcrazy: over here but now I am certain - knowing the prices you pay...

It's sold in 1 or 2 metric pound containers.
The funny thing is the max. amount for storage allowed is 2 pounds - with the right storage conditions, else only 1 pound (but thats a different story):

So here it comes:
2 pound container of Swiss FFg: 69 Euro aka $90
1 pound container of Swiss FFg: 41 Euro aka $53
2 pound container of Wano FFg: 44 Euro aka $57

Are you still sitting in your chair... :rotf:

Good day to all,

Silex
