No point in contacting the Post Office chain of command. There's not a one of them that will give a damn. My Kibler arrived in good shape. What I don't remember is his address that he had on the box. These days any outfit shipping anything gun related better not put anything related to guns on their return address.
If America doesn't voice its opinion the USPS is going to assume Americans are fine with how we're treated.

This goes for UPS too.

And FedEx.

Let them know we're going to thrash around while they try to ***** us against our will.

Guess it may be better to glue and staple - at least you can tell when it has been opened. With screws only they can open and close and you might not know what happened.

my woodsrunner came today also. box pristine usps in west kentucky respect people here. must not of traveled through a blue PO. some places the gorillas make half court pass to zip cart.
While there are no guarantees these days, I agree with you that the route your box takes makes a world of difference.

When Jim makes a box you can be sure it is the best it can be. I dissembled my Woods Runner box, and it took me a good amount of time and effort to get it completely taken apart. It took me over two hours so when I see this kind of damage it is not from a minor mishap. So sad to see this kind of damage - All this damage was caused by The Great American Work Force that are being hired now a days - they don't give a manure:mad::rolleyes:😭

Postal inspectors. Used to really get involved fast in these issues. I have no idea what happens now. But I’d not go silent.
It was an intentional act and there is a thief somewhere.

We voice opinions on alot of things, to no avail. The post office is a giant sink hole for money. Like other government institutions, just a massive burocracy that doesn't give a damn. While there are probably some good individuals at the USPS, the machine itself is useless, and unresponsive to us.

I like the USPO,Fed Ex and UPS in my area. Their the best. I'm always getting packages that don't have my address, wrong name.
One time I received three packages on my porch. All of them were for different addresses.
Obviously reading is not an important job requirement....
The letters and packages have numbers on them.

The mailboxes and houses have numbers on them.

In my mind, there's a clue there.

Years ago an editorial cartoon quipped
“Use Zip Codes! Some of us can’t read!”

Hopefully you did the right thing and finished the delivery.....lol

A bow I purchased was delivered to the wrong address.

The USPS swore it was delivered to my home because their GPS tracker said it was. I asked if their GPS tracker was so precise that it knew the exact location of my front porch. They said it was good for an approximate location. I asked them how many square feet were in an approximate location. Of course they couldn't tell me.

Started knocking on neighbor's doors. Found it at a home two doors down. They had it for days knowing full well it was mine. I could see the shame in the eyes when she finally admitted she had it. No doubt she was going to sell it on-line or give it to someone.

Thieves. Thieves everywhere.

Get the names of all the principal players at your post office.

Write a letter to the postmaster general explaining that some nosey USPS scumbag POS pried open your crate with no valid reason.

Explain that the people at your post office didn't give a single runny cr ap about invading your privacy or a damaged product.

Send pics with the letter. A real letter. On real paper. With real pictures. Make the USPS PG sign for it. It holds more weight that way.

Explain in your letter that we have this thing called the Second Amendment and the USPS doesn't have to like it and must instead deal with it.
It’s called “the sanctity of the seal” by the po. It’sa big deal if someone just opened it.
