got to shoot my new 1860 army today.
The wind was atrocious, 35-40 mph.
But I was able to introduce my daughter
to the pleasures of bp pistols.

Her smile was priceless.

I'm a little confused on the model of the Colt; perhaps you meant to say 1860 Army? Either way it doesn't matter. Introducing offspring to the ways of the "Dark Side" is worth a pat on the back at least :applause: . Be careful what you wish for, as it might come back to bite you in the A$$! My Son LOVES BP so much that he regularly competes right along side of me at two different Club's matches...and he's kicked my butt already!

Congrats again on having her enjoy this hobby of ours! We'll need the kids to carry-on the tradition!

I'll bet your smile was also.

You are about to learn two universal laws:

1) Children are always better shots than their parents, and

2) Female members of the family are always better shots than the males.

However, I wouldn't have it any other way.

I did the exact same thing yesterday. Took the 1860 Army to the range (Elm Fork in Dallas). Daughter did not go. I left for home right when the wind started getting heavy.

It's been a nice gun for me!!

That model Colt is very handy and feels good and is a true "pointer" if you know what I mean! It fits smaller hands well and yet still feels good in larger hands too!

Congrats again and lets us all know of her progress in the fun of BP pistols!

I usually go to Elm Fork, but when they flooded this summer I went to Garland. Nice folks out there. Just a heckuva drive for me.
