Ok, is there really bad days at the range?

Was able to get out and shoot my walker qite a bit again yesterday. I was stuck at the 25yd range, but was really able to dial in the walker. As I have heard here with other shooters, I am getting spot on results with 50 grains pyrodex. I am not using a wad and top off with crisco. I was able shoot 24 rounds with no build up issue at all. After that I had to pull the gun apart due to getting a cap wedged in the hammer.

I was able to put pretty consistant 4 out of 6 rounds on the bull. It does shoot about 1" to the right at 25yds so had to compensate.

My loading time is pretty fast now that I have my pistol stand, but all the questions from on lookers still slows things down between every set.

Hey Rikeman!

Any time that you can shoot 50 grains of powder in your hand is a good day, indeed! Glad to hear or your success with your Walker! Continued good shooting!

I had mine out at competition last week. Did O-K, but didn't win the match. Did have the biggest booooom though!

Yeah I bet! Nothing I have ever shot at the range attracts attention like the walker!

I am headed back to the range this weekend to shoot some with my .54 Hawken. I am going to do some 100yd work with the walker as well. Should be fun!

Remember to not aim too high with your Walker, as you might miss the target frame altogether! Those things were sighted-in for 75-100 yards! I found out where mine is shooting at that distance by aiming at the center of mass of a Police PPC silohuette target!

Last February (13 months ago) I hit a gong at 135 yards with mine using the same 50 grain loading of 3Fg Goex that I use for pistol competitions. The gong is two Scott air tanks welded together, donated by one of our members who's a Fireman. I just aimed for the top third of the set of tanks, held steady and let her go! That nine inch barrel is sure accurate  !

Good luck with your testing :)

I have read your previous reviews about that.....I plan to use 50 grains and my initial shots I was planning to aim dead center and see where it comes out......If anything, I expect it will only be slightly low from POA.

Like you said, I expect that 9" barrel to be very accurate out to 100yds. (As long as I do my part  )
