Great Plains Hunter 54 conicals?

That could be, I bought out the last 20 boxes that my guy had in stock before he retired,
now he's down here in FL. just South of me and living the good life.
 
Couldn't be too hard to cut the cavity on a cheaply obtained 2nd hand minie mold to give it a wide flat point nose, to expand the diameter of the front driving band to have it engrave on the rifling and to alter the plug to reduce the size of the hollow base for higher pressures.
And voila, free bullets from then on.
Hey. while you're at it make the base plug adjustable length!

That would be a fun project...:thumb:

OR if you don't have the time or the inkling, I reiterate, you could just use the REAL bullet, and for under $30 you can get a combination mold and make both REAL bullets and .530 round ball....

And a very good thing about REAL molds is that if your barrel runs large the aluminum molds can be lapped.

(and if I make a mess of it, it wasn't really expensive)
