We all have read or experienced our share of bad service from various companies over the years in our hobby so I think it's important to share the really good stories when they happen too. I recently broke the sear spring on the lock of one of my favorite flintlocks - a Centermark Fusil de Chasse. The lock turned out to be an early R.E. Davis lock. R.E. Davis locks are now part of the Log Cabin Shop in Lodi, Ohio and so I shipped my lock up to them to see if they could help...believe it or not, I shipped my lock in a small "flat rate" box from the U.S.P.S. on Thursday the 21st. and on Saturday the 23rd. Tom called me from the Log Cabin shop to tell me that he not only had already received my lock but that he had found a new sear spring for it and while examining my lock decided the sear lever could use a bit of polishing and adjusting too. Tom did the work, repackaged my lock and has sent it on it's way back to me already. All for the charge of $10.00 (plus return shipping) of course. You can't ask for better service than that. So, a shout out to Tom and the Log Cabin Shop - R.E. Davis Company!
