I had one that was brand new and sold it on this site two years back. I had two, one was Green Mountain, the one I sold, and the one I still have and shoot some is an old Sharron. I purchased from a trader at a black powder shoot in TX. It was blued, with under rib, ramrod pipes, nipple and sites. I shoot mostly round ball and 30 grn of 3F but I got some .40 cal Real Bullet from someone on this site and they shoot good with 40 grn of 3F. I can't remember the twist on either.
It is a hoot to shoot paper, squirrels and a Diller every once in a while. If someone new to muzzleloading wants to try one, I start them on the .40.

Mine is .40/.408” and yes molds are a small problem, much more variety available in 41. On the other hand, Accurate Molds will cut nearly anything you want in the caliber you want and if you can find them, Marlin .40-65 and .Winchester .40-60 (403-169 and 403-173 Lyman numbers) show up here and there. My Marlin mold drops 300 grains at .403 and I size to .401 in a Lee push through die.
I heard that about the snow going away... trudging to and from the longer targets is getting old! Or I am...

I’m interested in duplicating the mold below in .40. It should come out around 290 grains and carry enough lube to do the job. This bullet works well in .45 caliber, even in slower twist barrels.
