Green River Rifle barrel

The Lyman Muzzleloader's Handbook, First edition, 1976, lists Green River Rifle Works kits. A Hawken halfstock is offered at $230 with barrel lengths 32 to 36 inches. Leman Halfstocks kits at $180 have 33 inch barrels. In finished rifles, Hawken halfstocks were $500, the Leman $300 and the Hawken flintlock says "write for quote". Barrel lengths for it are listed as 30 to 38 inches.

I bought one of their drop in replacement 50 cal barrels for a TC Hawken in the early 1980s. I shot my best 50 yard off hand score with that barrel. Of course that was when I could still see the open sights. It is still very accurate, even though I have to use a Merit disc to see the sights.
