Hello to all,

I am relatively new to the BP sport having been involved for about 4 years. I currently shoot a .50 cal. T/C Hawken and a .32 cal. Pedersolli Kentucky rifle. I hunt deer with the .50, although I haven't been successful so far, and I hope to start hunting small game, primarily squirrel, with the .32. I've got to say that I've never met a more friendly, helpful group of people than the muzzleloading crowd! Kudo to you all. I'm hopeing I can get even more info using this forum.

Talk to ya later,
Bangor Barry

Howdy BB, glad to meet you. You can't help but gain more knowledge and friends right here! Emery

Hi Barry, Welcome aboard. :hatsoff: You'll find more information here than you can shake a stick at. Jump on in.
We'll be looking for the story and pics from your first BP deer this fall.

This is what we need more western Michigan boys.... A big Michiganian welcome from a feller just up the road kinda sorta...Gun Lake

visit and contribute often.

Bangor Barry, glad to see another member join the forum from Michigan. The forum is a great source of info.
Hope you get the chance to shoot a deer with your muzzleloader. The two I've shot with a muzzleloader seem the most memorable. A well placed patched roundball sure does the trick.

Born in Flint, lived in Flushing and Rochester Hills for several years before moving to the great U.P.

Welcome!! If you are interested in shooting in some of the state matches and joining rendesvous activities check on line 2009 Michigan state muzzleloading shoot schedule. I shoot out of the Linden sportsmen club and the columbiaville sportsmen club.I am also a member of the Lapeer Firelocks. You will see events listed for these clubs and many others. Len, I've shot at all those places you mentioned years ago. I believe my brother (1st name is Bruce) is a member at Columbiaville still. I'm sure we know many of the same people. I got civilized 13 or 14 years ago, moved to a town and gave shooting up so your name is not familiar to me. I now live in Prudenville in summer and Murfeesboro, Tenn in winter. Retirement is great.

Yep I know Bruce. We start a league first wed in Aug.at columbiaville. I know it a ways, but if you can, come on over an make noise with us. I think you will find this forum interesting and informative. Len

Welcome Barry, from another bp shooter from MI. Keep trying for that buck with the smokepole. I'm sure you'll connect.

Welcome Barry. Over the years I have found that new friends soon become old friends. Pull up a stump and sit a spell and remember to keep your head down. :v Vern

Barry,

A belated welcome - I don't get to this part of the forum often enough. Should make a point to do it more often. Thanks for helping to swell the ranks of the Michigan members so we can keep the rest of this rifraf from gettin too rowdy.
