Hey all,

Heading back to the great state of Indiana after living in Japan since 2009. Shot a black powder pistol in high school in 2004, and that's all the experience I've had.

I'm going to be back in March, and I want to teach my boys about firearms, especially traditional ones. Really looking forward to getting my first muzzleloader and eventually taking them out hunting with it.

My boys have never been to the states, nor have they been hunting, so I thought it would be really special to go back to the roots of hunting with firearms in America.

Looking forward to talking with yall.

Take care!

Welcome, Tim! I think that’s great that you want to introduce your boys to hunting and traditional muzzleloaders! As long as you don’t have to kill me if you tell me, I’m curious as to your time in Japan?

Aaron,

I was in the US Navy from 2006 until 2021. I was put out on a medical discharge after 3 back surgeries, just didn't have it in me to get to 20 years. Fortunately, I was medically retired, so I get my benefits.

I'm coming back mostly because employment is hard for me to get here. Very limited jobs unless I'm fully fluent in Japanese.

Take care!

Hey Tim,
Thank you for your service to our nation. Where part of Indian are you moving to? You should definitely check out the national shoot at Friendship IN! Even if just for a day trip! As someone new to BP it will make your head spin!

Welcome Back. Thank You for your service. Check out the NMLRA Youth shoot in July at Friendship, Indiana. They provide what you need to shoot all the events. My Grandsons learned from it. Camping is free at the youth shoot.
