Hello!

I am brand new to muzzleloading and am coming at it via American Civil War re-enacting. I only own a repro 1861 Springfield but I am looking at getting a Lyman Great Plains kit and building it up. My Springfield is a great shooter, with satisfactory results out to 200 meters, all center mass shots on a military sillouette.

I am also a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and just got back from Baghdad earlier this year.

In addition to blackpowder firearms, I also avidly shoot high-power rifle (M14, AR15) competitively, hunt, camp, and fly-fish.

I work full time in the Michigan National Guard.
