Good. Let us know when you get a shop. Never know when a guy needs a repair to the old rock crusher
Mwal

Mwal,

I have the shop it was at one time a firearms training location.

I am working feverishly to get the shop organized now that most everything equipment wise is in the shop. This for me is a massive undertaking of organization!

It's surprising how many muzzleloader shooters there are in Minnesota, especially central and SE. There's even one of the best muzzleloader shops in the country in Elk River, Track of the Wolf, yet there aren't that terribly many events in the state. I grew up in Annandale, moved around most of the central part of the state, before locating to my current Aberdeen, South Dakota. Elk River is a bit close to the cities for my taste, and quite populated, but not a bad area, especially for a gunsmith shop.

Well, geez, you've heard of the Forest City Stockade right? You ever go to the `vous?

No, and to make matters worse, my family is mainly from that Litchfield, Glencoe, Hutch area. Myself, I moved to Brainerd, then Staples for a while.

I just looked at the dates, and it appears it happens on the same weekend as gearhead in Maple Lake. That's probably why I've never heard of it, I won't miss a gearhead.

Welcome from AZ

Sounds like a request for a new fowler to me!

Well there may be an issue if the FFL is granted approvals in the near future with this location but there was an FFL here in the past. Just in case I cross lines and want to do a cartridge firearm. I intend to only work on period pieces either way.

I am now even more curious how do I not know of a Gearhead event ?
Did I mention the Shop Truck is to be a '53 F100 Milk truck or an "original-ish " '24 T Pickup.

Maple lake knows how to party. Gearhead get together is a must see if you are into any kind of mechanical stuff. Cars/trucks are the big ones, but there's a whole host of tractors, boats, motorcycles, and all kinds of mechanical contraptions to see.

Dad and I (mostly dad) got his 1955 Chevy Belair wagon going this year. Nice old car, no paint. Original desert rose color. You can bet we will be rolling up in that next year.

It's a busy weekend. I used to be a member of the rainbow sportsmens club in Cokato, and that same weekend is the cannon shoot if you are into that.

I want a nice flintlock rifle. My Pedersoli SxS 12 Ga. is all the fowler I want. I’d love to get a muzzleloader deer and flintlock would be amazing. My wife can eat deer. An elk would be even better, but between learning a new firearm and learning a new hunt, that would be a lot.

Flintlocker, Welcome from the Leech Lake area. Theres plenty of opportunity to turn your shop into a regular ML destination here in MN. Back in the day, early 80’s there was quite an explosion of interest with the special deer seasons and areas. Lots of us never got out of the habit, and we need things fixed or tuned now and then. Good luck on your endeavors!!
