It's 25 below zero at my hooch in the "low lying areas" of North Pole. My wood stove is burning bright in violation of the Borough's burn ban and I intend to keep it stoked. It is 15:15 with means we have another 15 minutes of daylight. The drinking light comes on at dark, so I thought I'd introduce myself while I can with out getting banned my first day posting. I bought my first muzzleloaders in '73, a couple of '51 navies and a .58 Zouave with a red stock. Not many around to help a kid get off to the right start back then so I made a LOT of mistakes. Some of them funny, some dangerous. I've shot just about every kind of ML, that you can pick up and hold (no cannons). Mostly I shoot a kit I bought off of Jim Chambers when he had but 1 kit to sell, a Lancaster long rifle with a Getz swamped and choked barrel. I have 5 Grandkids and a couple of teenage friends to keep in rifles, powder, and caps. Life is good.
